Bought it at the salvation army for 69 cents a few years back. It's interesting but musically it sucks. The Surfsiders didn't know how to play rock and roll at all.

I loved his website, shame he isn't writing much of anything anymore. His reviews exposed me to a lot of great stuff, including some of the great obscure Beach Boys stuff in my early days as a fan.

I loved his website, shame he isn't writing much of anything anymore. His reviews exposed me to a lot of great stuff, including some of the great obscure Beach Boys stuff in my early days as a fan. He did the video series for albums he wanted to review (whether for bad or good reasons), but had no interest in reviewing the artist's entire discography. I miss his writing too, though I'm friends with him on Facebook and he posts pretty regularly about music and movies he's into. |
