Title: Who is the best worst singer? Post by: Mendota Heights on April 15, 2015, 10:35:46 AM Every now and then a really bad singer makes it big and becomes famous and popular. One of these "singers" is a deranged Swedish man who is on meds because he thinks he is The King - Elvis Presley.
The guy's name is Eilert Pilarm and he has appeared on TV numerous times. He has also performed live more than 600 times and was Sweden's most booked artist in 2001. Norman Hurricane Smith? - raspy, borderline creepy voice, but it worked for his single and got him a big hit (Oh Babe!) Andrea True? (Nah, she was never great in any sense. Musically.) Shelly Fabares? - to me, she sounds good, but she hated recording and they had to piece "Johnny Angel" together from 17 takes. So: great. Telly Savalas? - hmmm. I only know of that one horrific song about throwing away old birthday cards, and that's mostly spoken. Not sure I ever heard him sing. Annette Funicello? Hayley Mills? Freddie Lennon?
