Title: Clinton Apparently Blasted the Beach Boys on Air Force One
Post by: ArchStanton on March 26, 2015, 01:32:51 PM
I got a kick out of this article in my morning paper today, with an interview of a former steward on Air Force One. The best part?

Quote
Clinton was the first president who was Franklin’s age. Their generational similarities and Clinton’s magnetism made Franklin feel very comfortable with him. Thus the rousing get-your-rear-end-to-work summons. Clinton played the Beach Boys and Four Tops — loud. Franklin was so relieved at the change from country music.

"Clinton played the Beach Boys and Four Tops — loud."

That's nice to hear, but the way you titled the thread caused me to assume something different!

I was expecting something different too. I read the title as "Clinton Apparently Blasted the Beach Boys in Air Force Radio".  :-D

Yes, I also was thinking 'blast' in a negative lite. As in 'insult'.

Sorry, I kept thinking over ways to phrase it and kept coming back to "blasted". "Clinton Played Beach Boys Loud on Air Force One" might have been a better idea, but I'm a wanna be writer and we always think it's better to be creative with verb choice.

And we're most always wrong. :smash

It's cool. That is why I don't prefer either Clinton or Bush, because they both like the Beach Boys! Despite that, I dislike both of them. :)

That's what Monica Lewinsky said
