I actually like though how the litho is made from the album lyrics.

Oops, I guess I posted about this in the wrong thread. I'm always curious to know who pays these prices for ultra-deluxe bundles. I know, it's Brian and he's a legend, but $2,700?

Shady, your fashion sense is true. I'll be getting one, too.

This is your moment to ask for a summer job.

I bought already 3 surf boards + 21 lp, cd, shirt and litograph packages. Get your own before they run out!

I mean really, I had to purchase that LP, CD, digital, shirt and litograph package. It's really not a bad prize for a package like that at all, and I was gonna buy the CD and LP anyway. I'm so excited!

Oh dear...I don't even want to know how they're going to ship these out.  I'm prepared for another blunder like when they shipped out the signed lithographs during the Smile release (they stuck both the CD and lithograph in one large, thin cardboard envelope.  Needless to say, the lithograph was bent and crumpled by the time it reached my door).

Screw it, I'm buying that bundle.

That sucks... For me it comes across the world, so that's really stupid. How hard is it to package something like this properly. I bet the surfboard too comes in some plastic bag or something.

Ha yeah I'd bet.  They did rectify the situation by remailing another lithograph in a sturdy mailing tube.  Not sure how they're going to go about this time around but they'd save a lot of time/headache if they did the same.  We'll see....

Does anyone else find it odd that Brian's site isn't selling the normal, un-deluxe version of the album?

So if I spend $2,769.95 for the DELUXE version of the cd...I get all that other stuff...including the surf board for FREE!?!?!   :spin

What a deal!!!  :rock

I wonder it people will think that the surf board clashes with my 'Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin' jacket if I'm walking down the street with it on...say... a colder day? ???

Will the music sound better if I wear the t-shirt while I listen to it? :thewilsons

Hmmmmm.   :tm  Maybe I'll just go with the cd. :hat

Nobody on the message board will know I'm not wearing my latest Brian apparel or just sitting here in jeans and a plain white T...  8o

I could use the $2.750.00 for booze and stuff. :beer

No.  I'm gonna be just like Brian. :banana  NOT surfing has worked out really well for him. :king

I'm good.

I think they figure anyone who's a big enough fan to go to the Brian Wilson official website is going to want the deluxe version.

Stamos bought The Woodie Edition - comes with a woodie, Mike, and the opportunity to stand on stage with the Beach Boys touring band for 20 years, while Brian gets on with making contemporary music.

Brian: "I call it the 'keeping folks out of my hair' edition."

I see that the the CD is available for purchase by itself. Does that mean that if I order it, that I'll receive it before the release date?

There are always fluke cases, but I’d say it’s far more likely that ordering from a venue like this will get you the CD *after* the release date. Some “shops” like this will ship the CD out on release date, so you’ll end up getting it several days after release date at best. I don’t know if Best Buy or Target will be stocking Brian’s new album (I would assume it’s quite possible), but even Amazon will often offer “release date delivery” where they ship the CD out prior to release date so folks get it on the release date.

I don’t think these online web store things, which are all handled by some other fulfillment company, are always set up to dial in delivery like Amazon. Plus, it looks like they’re charging substantially more for the CD than other retailers will (and they’ll probably throw shipping charges and maybe sales tax on top of that as well).

I actually thought that picture was the ominous meeting where they offered Stamos the chance to replace Al *and* Bruce...  :lol

I know, in the past, that Melinda kept close tabs on these folks to ENSURE that they were on the ball and on time.  And...they were aboslutely.  I would think, seeing how important this all is to Brian, that she'll be on it again like green on grass.

Well...they've just shipped my bundle package out.  CD and signed lithograph in one package...wonder how this will turn out?  Last time I checked--you can't fit a CD into a cardboard tube mailer.....
