Title: Pono - Is it the real deal? Post by: The Cincinnati Kid on December 17, 2014, 10:43:56 AM This was posted on car forum I visit, because he inadvertently revealed the Lincoln Continental will be making a return. :lol But have any of you guys heard of this before? It's supposed to be lossless, but I'm not really understanding how that will work. I'd like to hear your opinions on it. Pardon me if there's already a thread on it.

Larger file sizes and all that. Title: Re: Pono - Is it the real deal? Post by: beacharg on December 17, 2014, 06:25:46 PM The problem is the following: 99% of the people won't find ANY difference between a lossless file and good quality mp3 (256 or 320 kbps), specially with regular regular headphones. And don't get me started with the ugly design... where would you carry that brick? the thing will not sell.

But hey, at least the minute minority have options other than lugging around their record players with studio-quality headphones. Title: Re: Pono - Is it the real deal? Post by: bringahorseinhere? on January 01, 2015, 09:25:10 PM anybody lined up to buy the 'pono' player??
