I don't think Carol knows what the word spoof means.

She is right in that vocals are usually overdubbed later.  But this film is of two different sessions, one instrumental, and one vocal!   

There's a "staged" Motown recording session of the Temptations from the mid-1960s, which is fascinating in its own right.

She ends her post with the word Misrepresentation. So...what about this is a misrepresentation? The desperation of that message from Carol is kind of chilling. Here is this beautiful archival footage of some period correct session activity during the creation of one of rock's greatest songs ever....and somehow that's a negative? And somehow it's the fault of the person who posted the clip? So sad.

It was neither my "like" nor that of the original poster.

I suspect she's unaware that that footage was lost for around 45 years so thinks it was just cobbled together overnight as it were. Still…
