Incorrectly attributed, but still, not a bad little "2fer".  ;D

If only it was a 331.

At the opening bid of $400 it's a pretty good deal -- $100 for the 301, and $300 for the X -- but there's a $100 buyers premium on top of that.  At $500 suddenly it's not that great of a deal.

Never heard of a "buyer's premium" before but yeah, $400 for a mint - condition X 301 and a VG++ to M- Candix 301 Era is worth it if you don't have them already and you need them to complete (or come close) to completing your collection of all the regular issued singles. These two are really in nice condition.

I saw a few mediocre to severely damaged copies of these in so cal several years ago for well over 100 dollars.    Seems a fair price for top condition original 45's

I'm betting they won't go for $500 anyway, so it won't matter how good that deal is. I think they'll selol in the $8-900 range.

Really?   Buyer's premiums are added at almost every auction house( ebay doesn't count there) and Heritage also has a seller's premium, If I remember correctly( most houses do)

Yeah, REALLY!  I'm not a fanatic auction house bidder, that's probably why I never heard of it.  Don't care, either. Got better things to do with my money. I'm just happy I got most of my stuff a long time ago. Don't need auctions. Only auctions I ever bid on were way before Ebay and were put on by Derek Bill, Steve Bates, Wentzel's Music Town, Blue Meanie, Goldmine, and once in Discoveries. That's it! I pride myself in getting my stuff before paying the ridiculous prices of today.

Like Pany's $2 School Days?

Geez, get a fuckin' clue, bud! Don't you think just for an instant that the guy who sold him that didn't know what it was worth? Ya think??

What, you jealous of Pany getting that for 2 bucks while you pay exorbitant, almost prohibitive prices for Beach Boys stuff on Ebay? If you have the money to burn with no expenses (i.e. family), then I guess you're in the driver's seat to get the winning bids at auctions, right? Anybody can pretty much buy anything they want if they have the money Then once you have it, you store it away and it just sits there until you look at it again months or years later.
