Stubhub's been billing the M&B band like that since the C50 reunion tour ended, probably to try and ease confusion over what band was actually playing. Stubhub's just a ticket broker, they don't know anything we don't.

Ticketmaster, the official ticket outlet for the upcoming shows, lists the artists for all future shows as "The Beach Boys", while Stub Hub, a ticket reseller, lists the upcoming shows as by "Mike Love's and Bruce Johnston's Beach Boys".  Wonder if this has been going on for awhile and was initiated by Stub Hub to differentiate C50 Beach Boys shows from M&B Beach Boys shows?

Otherwise, this would have been major news, with members of the public wondering in 2015, "Hmmm, should we go see "Mike Love & Bruce Johnston's Beach Boys" or "Brian Wilson & Al Jardine's Beach Boys"?

Oops, I was typing the above while Mayoman was posting the info that Stub Hub has in fact been doing this since the end of C50.

Good for Stub Hub!  More power to 'em! They're very truthful people and not pulling any punches. Other ticket agencies should follow suit!

Isn't stub hub a legal scalping operation?

I think that's the irony. The more sketchy, seemingly less reputable venue for selling tickets is actually going above and beyond (though I doubt this is some epic good-natured move on their part) in describing the nature of the show.
