Title: Remembering Smile Research Laboratories Post by: Mooger Fooger on October 11, 2014, 06:50:19 AM The whole job incident got me thinking about how this board started (the phoenix of The Smile Shop) and then I had the vague recollections of The Smile Research Laboratory, which is where alot of discussion took place in the days where even the mention of the word "Smile" on Brian's website would get a reprimand. Anyone remember those good old days of Smiling from the shadows?
*apologies if I got the name of the group wrong, but Im pretty sure thats what it was called. Title: Re: Remembering Smile Research Laboratories Post by: Andrew G. Doe on October 11, 2014, 07:00:48 AM I recall it well. I also recall that the founder - April, although there was some debate as to his/her true gender - had a total meltdown and trashed the site.

There was such a site around that time and I'm curious if this was it. I never have actually purchased a BB bootleg but that site got me buying all of the 2-fers, etc.

I think it was through Yahoo. Maybe not, although I was on the list.
For awhile, people bounced around the idea that 'April' was actually being played by Brad Elliot. Come to think of it, I bough a cassette of Salute NASCAR from a truck stop for very cheap. |
