As summer is coming to an end, the new Brian album we are eagerly anticipating is just around the corner. As of now, the art work of BW's album is an unknown to us. I am giving you Smiley Smiler's carte blanche when it comes to posting pictures of how you want the album artwork to be like. You get to be the new Frank Holmes and Pete Blake. This might be Brian's last album, so take your chance and let your inspiration flow.

Those are amazing, especially the first Ocean Way cover

I would like to see a Last Song cover which incorporated a picture of Brian as a child or a toddler.

This is the best thing I've ever seen. Ray needs to get this to Brian's people, stat!

This looks like a Belle & Sebastian or God Help the Girl cover ... in a very good way.

Swedish Frog one is very stylish, it has modern feel, kind of opens up content of the album, with all those current gen musos. I think Brian himself wouldn't mind to have an album cover as this. Why not go totally off-beat just once? He's in his 70s, who knows it may be his last chance.

As a non-BW cover, though, on its own merits, I like the bottom 'Last Song' picture. Always been fascinated by sepia effect.

All the albums with Stars at the top are similar to the 'Imagination' album to me. I vote for ' Last Song'  myself.

That Eminem Show one was inspired by an actual experience; During a choir concert in middle school I remember walking up to the mic to sing a solo (and it was FAR too high for me to sing in to). So to make light of the situation I just pointed up at the mic and laughed. Us vertically challenged people live a rough existence :lol

Cool designs Rab, I'd say the fourth is my favourite, the picture reminds me for what they went with for the Disney album.

I like the other three a lot, but I have to say I find those twinkly stars in the sky a little tacky  :-\

There is actually a Lego figure that looks like that (I just omitted his headphones).

I guess he is a DJ Lego but I thought well if Brian had a Lego styled after him it would look like that... ;D
 I saved the pic to make a new avatar and just never got around to it.

I quit playing Lego a few decades ago so I am not up on them.  :p ;)

I like Judd's last design!

My vote would be for either of the "Last Song" covers (giving the nighttime waves just a little bit of an edge as it really jumps out at me...pun kinda intended!)  The problem I have is that Last Song sounds so depressing.  How about either of the two with "Ocean Way" as a title.  That would make me happier, and thus more likely to buy the album!

Lots of great stuff in this thread. Even if "Last Song" is going to be something of the centerpiece of this album, I'm hoping that won't be the album title. It's almost too evocative. The covers, though, are beautiful. "Ocean Way" is a bit more hopeful, but still Brian-ish in its reference to the studio, a lifestyle and career. I vote for it. The covers for that are also great.

Ocean Way should be the title of this album - rab, did you come up with it? It's perfect...a nod to the Beatles (Abbey Road), but also perfect just referencing the ocean. Get on that one, Brian's management!  ;D

While we're at it, maybe we could rustle up a list of songs we think Brian ought to be including here and pass that to his management too.

I'll nominate:

Til I Die (cos it has the "how deep is the ocean" lyric)
Endless Harmony (no brainer - it starts "Ocean lovers, who love to harmonise…")
Surfin' USA ("If everybody had an ocean…")
Kona Coast  ("The great Pacific Ocean expanded…")
Octopus's Garden ("I'd like to be, under the SEA…" - another Abbey Road link!)

I hope others have suggestions too!

During the TWGMTR recording era, people here were speculating what the name of that album would be...Ocean Way was one of the more popular ideas. SMiLE Brian reminded me of that name when I was making these. I'm not sure who exactly came up with the name, but they're brilliant! It really is a great name.

I've been away, so a bit late to the party here. Really fun thread!

Here's my concept. I like the minimalist look of Rab's covers and was riffing off those a bit.
A simple image and title, plus it leaves plenty of room for the inevitable big honking sticker ("The New Smash Album from Beach Boy Brian Wilson, featuring all your favorite hip new guest artists such as...!").
