If you get the chance to see a Peter Hook show, don't miss it. I saw him perform all of Unknown Pleasures and Closer, and it was incredible. I think the issue is he got tired of being in the band, and quit. He assumed that, like they agreed when they started Joy Division, that would be the end of New Order (the band is the sum of its parts) - but, New Order is out there touring, and he's really offended. I'll take Hooky over New Order any day. Have you heard Bernard sing these days? Maybe I've been looking at the wrong clips, but he sounds awful.
