As Brian would say "Well I'll be god-damned"! Perfect likeness of the master. :)

Who knew? Two visual artists in the BBs -- Blondie and David -- very interesting.

I can only imagine how Brian would've reacted if he had seen this painting of him in 1966 instead of David Anderle's.

Oh wow, that's a great painting! Very clever of Blondie to colorize Brian, in lots of bright tones. I like his quirky avant-garde vision. Thanks for sharing, Mr. Edelson! Already saved it to my comp (chose the largest size) & made it a new wallpaper.

Brian would most certainly be blown away & say sth. like "Heyya, this is very nice, dude" & have a big SMiLE.

It'a great that he went for the sideburns look.

Brian: Hrmrnhphfh!

Excuse me?

Brian, with considerable effort: Coul' you mooph der zig zag!

I move the zig zag.

Brian: Thanks, now I can talk! Let me sing you my greatest song.

ON THE ISLAND...

Took me a few minutes to transition from "random lines of random colors" to "guy with a small body and huge head sitting at a piano".

All you need is to notice his single eye (from the side) & go down from that. Gradually, you'll get the whole picture.

Very cool! Much different than what I thought a Blondie Chaplin painting would look like.

Would love to hang a copy on my wall but alas can't even almost afford to bid on it and I'm not down with a bootleg version because that wouldn't be cool.

Thanks for idea, stack! I've got tons of frames, so am ready to print the painting in a glitter photo paper & insert it into a frame; hang right above my keyboard - easy, ain't it? :3d
