Title: The Non-Death Thread
Post by: alf wiedersehen on July 17, 2014, 04:20:21 PM
All anyone ever does nowadays is die. It's depressing.

So, in order to cheer everyone up, I want to start a thread about people that are still alive. For instance, my neighbors are all doing well, except for the guy on the end who appears to have a very dirty home. Additionally, the people working at the grocery store down the street from me appear to be doing well also. And last but not least, I'm happy to report that my mailman is in fabulous condition (I wish I could always say the same for my mail) and he continues to deliver everyday (other than during national holidays and on Sunday).

Who are some people that are still alive that come to your mind?

I'm happy to have a lot of people alive. I'm lucky to still have my mother for instance. I appreciated all of the time I ever spent with James Burton (session guitarist in Shreveport, LA) who I just found out was asking about me recently. I sometimes feel lucky to be alive especially since I came so close to death in September 2012 myself.

A toast to all of us who are still amongst us! Long may we all prosper!

 ;)

I've no idea who are my neighbors, never saw their faces, but I know that one lady still works in a nearby 5-storied supermarket. It's my fave lil shop to buy antiques. Also some teenager who rides the bike around my house, for whatever reason, he's alive & kicking. And his elder sister.

Susanna's Still Alive (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjdAzGaTGHM) :=)

I've installed an R.I.P. topic on my main MB. I'm not saying it's the answer for this one but it does mean it's all in one place (more or less) for folks to avoid if they want to...

Olivia de Havilland is still alive at 98.  And my grandfather is alive and 2 months shy of 100.
