Title: Dennis and "Add Some Music To Your Day" Post by: Glenn Greenberg on May 13, 2006, 03:54:08 PM Does anyone know why Dennis is the only Beach Boy who didn't sing a lead vocal on "Add Some Music To Your Day?"

It's on the" Add Some, add some...add some music to your day" bit that keeps coming around...I think technically his voice actually is solo for a bout half a second several times in the song.

Hi, I think it's: Verse 1 and 2: Mike Verse 3: Group with the "add some"s, Bruce with the "Your doctor/Your preacher" lines Verse 4: Carl Verse 5: Brian Verse 6: Divided- Mike ("At a movie..."), Al ("And on everyday of the summertime...), and Bruce ("They'll play it on your wedding day") Group with the ASMTYD's. It is kind of strange that Dennis didn't get a lead line, but I agree that you can hear him in the background at times... I think Alan is singing the "And on every day of the summertime, you'll hear children chasing ice cream cars" part. It kinda sounds like Brian, but I think it sounds more like Alan. When they did it live in '93, Alan totally sang that line. Brian definitely sings "When day is over, I close my tired eyes".
