Title: Chuck survived hernia surgery
Post by: Charles LePage @ ComicList on May 12, 2006, 06:13:49 AM
I did, it's true.  They sliced and diced me yesterday at 8 am.  Even put in a Kevlar patch, so when you maniacs try another drive by, aim for the belly.  Oh, and I'm on Celebrex for five days, so if I have a heart attack, you'll know why.

If you ask nicely I might post a picture of my bandaged stomach.

Thank you all.  I fear I can't show you a picture of my bandaged stomach as I've taken the bandage off.  I can always take pictures of my scarred belly button, however.

Being a moderator of this board must have been a heavier burden than anyone of us could realize, with all the wild accusations and so forth. Just remember to train your stomach/abdomen muscles in the future and hopefully everything will be well.

Am I the only one who wants to see the scar?  Anyone?  No?  Nothing?...

That, in and of itself, is sick.

Søren

Train them to do what, precisely?

I just thought hernia had something to do with a weakness in the stomach/ abdomen muscles

Bizarrely, the kind of hernia I had is very common in women who have had children.  How I got one, I don't know.

I do look forward to exercising again after months of not being able to either because of the pain from the hernia or recovering from the hernia surgery.
