Title: Anybody gonna watch meteor shower tonite? (Fri and Sat)
Post by: leggo of my ego on May 23, 2014, 06:59:49 PM
Sky is Clear here in the Hoosier state. Got a patio outside the walk-out basement door facing NNW - they say there could be +1000 per hour
from this debris trail. If you are in N.America check it out, don't think its visible in other locations. Happy watching!  ;D

We were planning on it. Weatherman forecasted clear skies for tonight all week long. Woke up this morning and a cloud cover had moved in and it hasn't budged.  :-[

Prolly gonna ride down this bike path to check that sh*t out after I download that Smile mix Mujan uploaded. Hope I don't miss too much though it's been kinda cloudy.... Not expecting much, most of the hyped up sh*t by astronomers tends to be sort of overhyped.

Has anybody seen anything?  Nothing here, but I don't know if that means it was a bust or if there's just too much ambient light.  I did meet an adorable black cat while I was outside so I'll consider this a win.

Was outside about 20mins looking to the N-NW and saw a few quick white streaks but then a big one came in on a shallow angle and burned blue and green before it burned out. Cool  8)

Went inside and watched out the picture window a while longer but kept nodding off so I gave it up. It was worth it to see that one huge meteorite, biggest I have
ever seen.

To-nite its cloudy so I hope some of you others get better weather.
