Title: Hacked again
Post by: SMiLE Brian on March 03, 2014, 08:54:12 AM
I got another email saying I signed this petition, I wish this stupid thing would be deleted already.

Okay, this is getting somehow worse.
Apparently I signed for the third fucking time, I love gore, and I just gave out someone's phone number.
If that really is Hypehat's phone number, I'm sorry and I have nothing to do with it.

Edit: I am definitely in love with him, though.

When will this stop?!

Guys, I'm really sorry that this is happening again. This is going way too far. I think you guys better let the mods know about this

What are the mods going to do though? I don't see that they can do anything. IMO just delete the petition.

I was planning on deleting it after we found out who was behind this, but you do have a point. I'll wait and see what the mod says about this anyway, and we'll see what happens

What?  The petition hasn't been deleted?

I thought the game-plan post receiving the tech data from iPetitions was to s-bend it.

Seems like the smart thing to do, for the continued hacking at the very least.

Now, my screen name is on there four times, with a name that isn't mine posted as well.

The petition starters are responsible for this. It doesn't matter if someone else "hacked" it or not, since you've been aware of this for weeks, just get rid of it.  How hard is that to understand?

Not sure if it'll be of much help, but it appears that a bunch of the recent signatures come from Russia (says Russian Federation at the end). Of course, there's the possibility that they used some sort of proxy to make it appear that way. But assuming they didn't, perhaps it would be useful to look at Smiley members/former members from Russia?

Glad you brought that up. I noticed that, as well. Chock it up to a "learning experience" for all of us.  The peril of the Internet, especially as it is subject to attack.  It never seemed the correct time to do a Dennis movie, this year, to me, though his story is an important one, as he had many facets to his persona, apart from being a Beach Boy.  Timing is everything.

Moving on might be a good idea after deleting it... ;)

To be fair, I think he was waiting until the "hacking" situation was fully resolved to delete it. Now that he's been given the clear by Billy, he has to email ipetitions to get it deleted - and who knows how long they'll take to read the email and fulfill the request.

This.

Honestly, I don't get some of you. When all this started, I was trying to delete it first, then you guys started making accusations that I'm trying to "destroy the evidence" or someshit like that. You guys wanted to investigate on who did the hackings, so I chose not to delete it.
Yet now you guys are accusing me of being reluctant to delete it.

It sort-of feels like these people are only trying to make me and Retrokid look bad, and I don't appreciate it. Which is why I locked the original thread in the first place.

I'm going to ask iPetitions to delete it now ASAP (I can't do sh*t on a mobile, will do it when I get on my laptop). Though I'd just like to ask the mods to question some of the Russian members of the forum. I'm convinced it's by someone on this forum as only the forum members are victims, and it looks like it's a Russian.

A couple of the fake signatures/comments signed under my screen name apparently were linked to the name "Derek Russell." (Thanks for the heads-up, rab.) My real name is not Derek Russell, nor do I know anyone by that name. If there is someone who reads and posts here whose real name is that, then their identity is being spoofed, too. Or it could just be some randomly selected name. One of the other posts under my screen name has no name linked to it. I posted nothing on that board, it's all trolls.

I do recall seeing some other Beach Boy blog where a person(s) had used screen names from this board and posted trollish comments. That happened several months ago. I can't remember what the blog was named or I'd Google it. Somebody out there has a problem with this board, maybe a banned member or somebody who had some trouble here. Weird!

Just don't get why it's so important to delete it; You all know you didn't post there; I know I didn't post there. why do you let it bother you so much?
Seems fairly obvious whoever is doing it is trying to make everyone here upset, and what's the real damage?
are your psyches that fragile?  if so, perhaps a LOT of non-internet time would act as a salve for your tormented souls.  I just don't see the problem. Forget about it and let it wash away

I agree, it's not really that big of a deal. Just some person trying to get under our skin.
All this talk is probably just encouragement.

It bothers people because actual emails are being used. You can't really ignore this problem when updates about fake petition signatures are being sent to your private email. Deleting the petition will remove this avenue of irritation for the troll. Simple as that.

I'm certain now that not only is the hacker a regular member of this forum, but the "Mudak" has obviously seen this thread and has continued with the hacking. At the time of writing EgoHanger and Cyncie are the latest victims, and the comments made by "them" is repulsive to the extreme. And he tarnished an excellent Denny line  :angry :smash

Retrokid and I should have never made this petition in the first place. "facepalm"

I am from Russia & I do have some "hacking" programs in my laptop (like RAdmin & easy stuff), but other than that, I've nothing to do with this deed. KittyKat must be right when said it's someone from the former Smilers, certainly not a random outside hacker, or how could they write in a style as if they are familiar with us? Anyway, I still don't regret that I signed this petition. After all, it wasn't that big of a deal + I wanted to support my favorite band & everything that concerns it. I mean, why not?

Whoever it is reads the posts, the older Threads.  Not sure what Cyncie has to do with it, but "luvya alot" is bgas' signature.  The reference to Mikie dealing with it, is his dislike that bgas does not separate the words "a" and "lot" - it's an ongoing joke between them.  The hohoho...bit is a quote from Rei last Christmas, in his P-Santa disguise.  Rei hasn't been here that long.  Not long enough to make that many enemies.  Most of us take his ramblings with a grain of salt anyway.  "Road Apple" - "Attack the Ukraine"...really Rei, what is a "Road Apple"?  Please take the politics to the sandbox, I promise not to follow.  He's silly, yes, but has he really hurt anybody's feelings?  Not mine.  Someone who no longer posts here?   A former Smiler?  Goodness, it's got to be a Russian?  I doubt it.  Let's hope it's not a current member.
