Title: Shut Down Volume 2 Album review and discussion on WFDU
Post by: GhostyTMRS on March 02, 2014, 12:19:38 PM
ESQ's David Beard joined me on 89.1 WFDU fm's "The Vintage Rock & Pop Shop" for an in-depth discussion about the "Shut Down Volume 2" album (celebrating it's 50th anniversary). Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DqE9_xZwt4&list=PLA132AA9FFCF9DE8B&index=9

Sorry about the double posts. My computer went haywire when I tried to post this.

Hey Ghosty --

Thanks for the link.  I really enjoyed that!  Looking forward to Peter's Reuminations on The Big Beat, along with Ginger's recollections on the five Honeys' demos.

* Minor point . . . It's Bob Norberg, not Bob Norman.  And since Murry reportedly suggested "Norman" because Norberg sounded too Jewish, methinks, after all these years, Bob would prefer his real name.

cool!

Is there any video / audio from Al's set at David Lynch's foundation that they talk about in this review?

At this point there is not.
