....I wanted this to be the Beach Boy cover, but being a bit out of my range, recruited Susan to sing it. Then I had to think more in line with the original Crystals versions, which is a powerful cut. I didn't try to 'Spector" it up too much, but it has a nice, dense sound, and it's in stereo..as much as I would have liked to mono the mix, I couldn't pull myself to do it, because Barry had submitted such a nice stereo backing track. some more castenets, bells, strings, timpani, doubled lead vocal, backround harmony and post-production, and here it is, all two min, 15 sec of it. Hope all of you enjoy it, and CHEERS, Barry.

That was pretty awesome!

Would it be possible to put up just the music to the track? Those timpani's are HUGE.

Very bright, balanced, and overall great recording.  :)

Ha...hey, and I toned the timpani DOWN...you should have heard the 1st mix...jeeZ
The 'unadorned' backing track should still be on-line at Barry's music page at soundclick.com   and thanks for listening to our stuff over here....

It sounds great...!

Any desire to have it on Vol 2 Anthology CD...?

Female vox very welcome contrast to all us 'boys'... ;)

Nice stuff. Love the timps. I was going to try to finish my version of the song for the CD, too (not sure when I can, though)!
