The Rancho Mirage home of Jeffrey Foskett, a guitarist and singer associated with the Beach Boys, is going up for live auction on Friday. The four-bedroom single-family home at 76 Via Las Flores in Mission Hills Country Club is starting at an opening minimum bid of $387,000. The last open house before live auction has been scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday. Bidders must be pre-qualified and registered before the actual auction Friday at the property. Though not an original member of the Beach Boys, Foskett toured and performed frequently with the band. He sang harmonious vocals for the group and became such an integral part of Beach Boy tours that he’s known fondly as their “vice principal.” Foskett also played with the Brian Wilson Band and the Endless Summer Beach Band. The winning bidder of the home will also receive an extensive album collection signed by the original Beach Boys, said Brigitte Kruse, owner of GWS Auctions LLC, the auction house organizing the event. Stay tuned for an extensive collection album collection signed by the original Beach Boys on ebay or similar in the near future, perhaps. Title: All Well With Jeff Foskett? Post by: Pretty Funky on February 25, 2014, 10:30:03 PM Just a normal house sale I hope but the statement 'The winning bidder of the home will also receive an extensive album collection signed by the original Beach Boys,' raises some concerns. Hope all is well for the big guy.

Guessing it's a sales angle gimmick to expand the buyer pool; like to the 250 extra dudes here who would have read the listing. If JF was in desperate need of $$$, would he not sell collectibles separately on consignment to interest buyers rather than as an bundled bonus to any Joe Q Home-buyer? And, yeah, good to hear the (material) sale does not seem to be as a forced move. |
