Title: Cotton Mather
Post by: the captain on May 03, 2006, 01:28:25 PM
Anyone around here know of or a fan of Cotton Mather? They released three LPs and an EP, most recently with 2002's "The Big Picture," and I am told that they've officially disbanded now (but leader Robert Harrison is working on a new project).

Anyway, I strongly believe Kontiki is among the top 2-3 albums of the '90s. Anyone else familiar or feel similarly? (Or differently?)

I'm only familiar with the Richard Brautigan poem "Cotton Mather Newsreel".

Uh, not quite the same. But I do recommend (especially if you're a fan of mid-60s Beatles and Dylan, which I suspect most around here are) that you find Kontiki. I think Amazon might still sell it, off its Rainbow Quartz reissue.

Alternatively, as soon as my MOTHERFODAING laptop isn't acting very unkindly, I may be able to assist you.
