And on her Facebook page, Alanna Nash, author of the standard biography of Colonel Tom Parker, says that when there were plans to film her book in the mid-2000s she told the people involved that PSH would make the ideal Colonel. That's putting it mildly. It's hard to imagine a part more perfectly tailored to his genius. RIP. I'm not aware of this actor, although the name is familiar, but I have a big respect for Lester Bangs, his upstanding writings were an enjoyable read. Just checked the Almost Famous screenshots & Hoffman seems to have captured Lester finely. Think I might watch it, thanks for the tips. |
