Title: Beach Boys on CBS This Morning Post by: SloopJohnnyB on January 22, 2014, 06:08:44 AM Charlie Rose just gave a nice shout out to the Beach Boys and Pet Sounds. Near the end of the show this morning Charlie mentioned that it was 48 years ago (today?) that the Beach Boys either began recording (or released?) 'Wouldn't it Be Nice'. Nice, short segment mentioning the album and it's importance in rock history. Somebody on staff at CBS must be a Beach Boy's fan? Probably Charlie! ;D
Anyway, nice to see our favorite group still getting national attention. Just watched this on the east coast. Those in the central and west coast might get to see it later this morning? January 22, 1966. The single wouldn't be released until July of '66, two months after Pet Sounds was released. So yeah. So cool my favorite song was begun today, 48 years ago.
