Title: Miss america Post by: steveroomate on December 03, 2013, 03:03:14 AM I think this track has been mentioned a few times on here by my group The Roomates,as im new to this group thought I would post up here
When we started our group over 25 years ago not as a beach boys styled vocal group but as a doowop group and was looking at slightly different songs to record we looked at the early Beach Boys albums and were ultimately drawn to this track which now has become one of the mainstays of our shows,we always ask the audience if they can tell us who did the original and correct answer will win a free cd,needless to say most nights we go home with the same amount of cds as we came with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogELy6H-05c Title: Re: Miss america Post by: Empire Of Love on December 03, 2013, 11:47:57 AM I really liked your original, You're Some Kinda Fool. In case you are wondering, I am at work and certain sites are blocked...I suppose I can just check when I get home. :)

Title: Re: Miss america Post by: RangeRoverA1 on January 07, 2014, 05:30:48 AM G'day, Steve! Let me state here that The Roomates are evidence British doo-wop exists, you all do great harmonies together, Miss America is no exception. However, my favorite was, is & will be In This Song Again (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcMtienCFGY). Very beautiful tune, love those "(Twinkle twinkle little star) How I wonder where you are..." call & responses near the end.
