2. Roger Waters at Rod Laver Arena in February 2012. Part of the Wall Tour.

I'll list only foreign artists because I believe people here don't know much about Finnish music industry  :-D

Great list! I'd loved to have seen one of the Smile shows. He passed through where I live on that tour, but I was sadly unaware of the genius.

My God the Smile tour...beyond belief musically but also emotionally.  As with BW's first tour, which is why they reside at the top of my list.  I know I wasn't the only middle aged white man with tears pouring down his cheeks...what can I say....

My list was so Beach Boy-centric I forgot about the amazing shows I saw by the Kinks (esp '74 West Palm Beach), Elvis Costello and the Attractions ( esp '83?, Forest Hills NY), Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (esp '81 Hollywood FL),  NRBQ (esp '72 w/ BB King Hollywood FL and Chapel Hill NC '78) and the night Sly showed up with the Family Stone ('72 Hollywood FL).

I saw John Prine with (and backed up by) The Cowboy Junkies in 91 or so. That was quite an amazing night!

It's funny: when I like 19, 20 and playing in bands, if one of the guys was like 25 I'd be like "but he's old" so, I get it!

I'm extremely envious. One of my only regrets when it comes to gigs is not going to the Big Star's Third performance in London last year with Jody, Ken Stringfellow and guest spots from Jon Auer, Sondre Lerche, Norman Blake, Robyn Hitchcock, Ray Davies etc. etc. The closest I could ever come to seeing Big Star live.

Oh, that's too bad. That would have been an absolutely incredible show!

Not to brag (okay I'm totally bragging), I've seen so many great concerts, so many legendary artists.  Springsteen, McCartney, the Who, the Stones, Ringo, the Beach Boys obviously, Brian Wilson and Jeff Beck, David Byrne and St. Vincent, Arcade Fire and Spoon, Elvis Costello, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan and Ben Harper... how do you rank a group like that, let alone pick five?

I may not have gone to many concerts, and haven't been to any this year. But that's going to end in March when I will be seeing the Rolling Stones!!!
I'm certain that it will make the Top 5 Concerts I've Seen!

Haven't really been to many concerts, but saw Waters' Wall tour last summer and it completely blew my mind. One of the best experiences of my life.

I just saw The Three O'Clock the other night in a tiny room - it was a really great show.

They played songs most of their earlier songs, plus a cover of "Lucifer Sam."
For the encore, Steve Wynn of Dream Syndicate and Vicki Peterson of The Bangles came out and joined them on stage to play "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better" and, as a tribute to Lou Reed, "There She's Goes Again."

T'was a great show and t'I would definitely retroactively add it to my list.
