There aren't many people (especially non-musicians) who can say that they were namechecked in a BB song. I guess most of the people mentioned in Do You Remember were already (or would in the future be) associates of the BBs.

Although, I could imagine that its bizarre production would've made it a bit hard for JC to get into and be completely proud of. Johnny Carson tops the list. But what pisses me off is how he considers "Holland" to be one of the BB's more obscure release, and how the albums from Wild Honey to Sunflower are a series of disasters. He also considers "Love You" to be an awkward Shipwreck! Still, it's an interesting read that is worth checking out to see the viewpoint from a non-Beach Boy fan. I have to say I agree with his words. Wild Honey through Sunflower were all disasters in terms of sales, and while I do love the album, Holland is pretty obscure compared to a lot of the band's releases. The only one he seems to knock is Love You and "awkward shipwreck" isn't the worst thing that's been said about it.
