Works for me via the link... but roughly 75% of the tracks are unplayable, and that includes roughly 99.7% of the goodies.

PS: it's the 'wrong' - i.e. album - mix of "California".

PPS: stereo mix of "WDFFIL" but without the Summer Love Songs intro... plus a shitload of reverb. Castanets up way too high. Hopefully this is down to Spotify...

Where the hell is the Original Long Mono version of Lonely Sea from? Definitely has a longer intro...only thing that plays of interest to me (since the rest is all just recent remasters that work for those of us in the US).

I know it's not a boxed set exclusive or anything, but I certainly like this version.

They're more than likely linked to the same old tracks. A lot of these streaming services link to the same copies in order for their in-house charts to be accurate. Like, if there's five versions of a Katy Perry song that are identical but are on different releases, the streaming service (or download service) would want to link to the same file so that the song's totals won't be split up in the charts.

Basically, Spotify is simply letting us listen to the duplicates that are already out there. And not even all of those.

Worst is when some other services I used would just link to ONE track even if there were alternate versions. For example, imagine if only the single mix of Help Me, Rhonda was linked to while you were playing Today!....it was rather frustrating.

No - the mix of "WDFFIL" is stereo, but lacks the intro included on SLS. Can't believe they'd do that for just one track.

(Just checked - the version on SLS on Spotify UK has the intro)

I can't play a single song from the box. The few songs that are playable are only linked to other, earlier releases of the same material.

(And I hate that copyright loophole. There are so many versions of the Surfin' Safari album on Spotify that you'll get dizzy.  >:()

I'm using OpenVPN, but you can only use if for free for one day. You also need to set your country as Finland on Spotify.

Why did it show up on Finland Spotify anyway? A screw-up or has the album for some reason been legitimately released there already ahead of the August 27th date?

I tried Private Tunnel and had no luck. Waiting patiently to hear this thing.

It seems to be available in all countries now, at least in mine. It showed up this morning.

I've listened to it for 3 days now and I'm wondering if they release these things to some smaller markets to test all is up and running. I remember last year having the 'Isn't It Time' single bought and paid for on iTunes 2-3 days before the official release. MIC/ SMiLE boxsets are some big ticket downloads so it would make sense to check everything is working.

Not all countries. Not the UK, at least not the freebie version.

No it doesn't seem to be officially out yet in Finnish stores.
Not sure why it was available so early there but Finland is often a test-bed for Spotify.

Interestingly, I'm now in Italy and all the tracks (still minus Back Home 63) are available from here as well.
I'm not sure if that's because they are in fact available in Italy or because my Finnish Spotify account is in "vacation" mode.

Now it's on Spotify in the US.

Managed to open up a new trial acct and listen via spotify holland for 48 hrs and thought I'd be able to listen via my premium uk acct now but no joy  :angry

Well, the official UK release date isn't until next Monday, right? So presumably it won't appear on Spotify until then...?

That was the original date as stated by Amazon UK, and they have shipped orders today so it will arrive before the 2nd.

This is still not on Spotify UK as far as I can tell. Do all other countries now have this?

Thanks again for those that suggested the private tunnel thing. That, and opening a new trial account, have allowed me to listen to this on spotify.nl but the adverts  (Virgin Broadband and Honda Civic 'Yes It Can' the worst offenders by far) are driving me nuts!
