I am so tired of seeing this. Sincerely, despite anything I say here or elsewhere on the board seeming to imply that I'm kidding. Here are a solid ten reasons why you should stop:

1. The word "BAD" looks really stupid in all caps.

2. The word "BAD" in caps implies some kind of BAAAAD MUTHA FUCKA stuff, which is just stupid.

3. None of the people involved are "bad" in any manner of speaking.

4. It will likely be adopted by the clueless people behind Brian's career as an official band name eventually (see the spelling of "SMiLE"). Ticket sales plummet, no one wants to see BAD and their new album FUCKING AWFUL (an secret acronym for Fellows, Underutilizing Cake Kills Indians Needing Goods, And Water Fills Up Liver) sold exactly negative seven copies and reached #959395395939939395995999999999999999999999999999.3 on the Billboard charts.

5. People are gonna start going to these concerts saying, "Yeah, I already saw BAD in concert before a couple weeks ago" and will look like total dipshits as a result.

6. The word "BAD" seriously looks stupid in caps.

7. In the context of the Beach Boys, people might start assuming it stands for Bruce, Assholewithbaseballcap (aka Mike Love, as pointed out by someone else here on the board) and Dadrien Baker (a common misspelling of Dadrien Baker's name)

8. Typing "Brian, Al and David" takes 0.03 seconds longer. Don't be lazy.

You're right, it is not a BAD show, but of all the bad behavior in this place, writing BAD is the least of our issues. We are a bunch of fucking bitchers, that is for sure. We are never without complaining about something.

I disagree with RDZ, especially #8 which is not subject to opinion. The only thing I agree with is the first half of #2, which is why I like the BAD acronym in the first place.

The only way for you, RDZ, to prevent me using "BAD" is becoming an administrator and ban me. Other than that I think you're good.

BTW, who was the first to use the "BAD" acromym? I think it might have actually been me, but I may be wrong of course.

I prefer consistency in acronyms: M&B and BA&D.

OK- BA&D does actually take .03 seconds longer to type than BAD and it doesn't feel so inappropriate to Brian Wison and his music as the BAD acronym does.

I suggest we change it to DAB, which looks and sounds just as dopey, but at least it's not BAD.  Also it puts the underdog David first, and the always humble Brian last.

For the record, I'll say that (the) "BAD" (show) sounds fantastic! I like how it goes exactly in order of importance, i.e. Brian-Al-David. Just perfect coincidence.

I hate Acronyms, because of the idea behind it. 

People type Acronyms because it's easier for them.  So they can be lazy, they use an acronym.

This FORCES the reader, to work harder, so they can figure out the Acronym! 

So essentially, to be lazy you make somebody else work harder.  Horrible. 

I think all of them shouldn't be used, unless it's just painfully obvious what it stands for. 

I completely agree with you, sir.  One of my pet peeves on this board is the use of acronyms for song titles.  Ok, so we all know that WOTS is Warmth of the Sun, but it might be confusing to a person new to this board.  And there are times when some of the more obscure BBs titles are being discussed, and I have to stop and decipher what everybody's talking about! 

BAD sounds dumb...What exactly will the guys be called on the album when it finally gets released ?
