Brian didn't really write that article.

Got through a couple of paragraphs of it, then it got tedious. And not funny (if it was suppose to be).

yea...that might have been the least funny Onion piece I've ever read. They should have gone further with the parody and adopted Brian's writing style. That would have made it funnier, at least for the likes of us.

Tough crowd.  It's not the funniest thing the Onion people ever wrote but it was amusing enough.  I was quite surprised to see the Onion poke fun at BW.  They posted this on Brian Wilson's Facebook page and most of those people thought it was real.

My favorite commentary from them comes from "Paul Simon": I'm Proud Of All My Songs, Even The Ones I Stole From People I Heard At Open-Mic Nights (http://www.theonion.com/articles/im-proud-of-all-my-songs-even-the-ones-i-stole-fro,29078/).  "I should stress that not everything I rip off is appropriated wholesale. Sometimes I steal a song and add my own ideas to it. Take 'Rene And Georgette Magritte With Their Dog After The War.' Did you know the original version had no dog in it at all? It was just this simple song I stole about the painter and his wife. I added the dog part."
