Title: Origin of the phrase, "Fun, Fun, Fun" Post by: PongHit on July 31, 2013, 01:02:05 PM This is a still from a 1954 Disney cartoon: (https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/q71/s720x720/603327_10153078996505367_1256242652_n.jpg) So this phrase was in the popular lexicon prior to the song? Or just a coincidence? Title: Re: Origin of the phrase, \ Post by: leggo of my ego on July 31, 2013, 02:40:41 PM Probably not this:

I don't if it's one today. Repeating a word for emphasis is just a common trick. That's all that I believe is happening in these cartoons. I don't think the song "Fun, Fun, Fun" has influenced many people saying it today. It's just a triple emphasis thing, and "fun" is an easy word to do it with.

Brian might write that song one day when he hasn't had enpough to eat. ;D Title: Re: Origin of the phrase, \ Post by: PaulTMA on August 01, 2013, 06:52:03 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_s4iGciM40 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_s4iGciM40)
