Title: My book Post by: Ian on May 31, 2013, 11:19:38 AM Ok-so for those that are interested-I went to the book Expo in NY today and saw (for the first time) a copy of the book I wrote with Jon Stebbins-The Beach Boys in Concert. Not to brag-but it really looked good. They say they are on schedule-so should be out around June 18 in the states and around the world soon after that. Photos in it look great! It was cool to see it-as I'd only seen a proof prior to this.

Title: Re: My book Post by: Paulos on May 31, 2013, 01:10:34 PM Also looking forward to this, will the book be released in the UK? I ask as amazon.co.uk doesn't seem to have a pre-order option for the book and is giving the release date as 20 July.
Title: Re: My book Post by: Ian on May 31, 2013, 02:35:37 PM The publisher told me that they are releasing it worldwide and it would be available in the UK a month later -so July 20 sound right to me.

Title: Re: My book Post by: Jon Stebbins on June 19, 2013, 09:51:13 AM Yeah I heard there was a slight production delay, should be showing up any day now, or in a week. I've been through this book publishing/release thing five times now...and its always really vague in the days leading to the actual physical release. Just when you think its going to be delayed for awhile, the book will suddenly show up. So my instinct is that we'll see it ...oh crap i really don't know...but soon.

This promises to be one of the most thoroughly enjoyable books about the band in quite some time. An essential read and resource for every Beach Boys' fan and anyone who appreciates popular music. Years and years of painstaking work went into this examination of the guys on tour. All done in the author's "free time." Truly a labor of love. So, an appreciative tip of the hat to Messrs. Rusten and Stebbins for their landmark contribution to our collective understanding of fifty years on the road with the band we all love so much. Like many here, I've ordered the Deluxe Edition and plan on buying several additional copies through Barnes & Noble for family and friends. With news of Brian's creative burst, his shows with Al and David, MIC, and the publication of IN CONCERT, it is going to be a great time for the Boys of Summer.

I am with the same publisher and Amazon will periodically move the date slightly forward or backward.
