Post by: Lowbacca on April 03, 2013, 08:55:53 AM Names Just my two cents - but I don't think most of your suggestions are very good...Little Deuce Coupe - "Car Sounds" SDVII - "In the Parking Lot" Pet Sounds - Wouldn't It Be Nice Smiley Smile - Good Vibrations Surf's Up - Sign of the Times Holland - Ten Years Gone Naming an LP recorded in Holland "Holland" is kinda right on the dime whereas calling it "Ten Years Gone" because it's been 10 years since their first LP is rather dumb/unimaginative. And "Sign of the Times" is kinda in-your-face and too self-indulgent. I've always liked the title Smiley Smile because that's just what it is: a diminutive of the actual SMiLE (whilst still being an awesome record on its own, obviously). I like the idea of Shut Down Volume 2 having another title, though (since the process of naming it was rather dumb) - In The Parkin' Lot would be fine, especially when keeping the original cover art. :) Title: Re: alternative pictures or covers on albums - what would you do? The base pic is of Hollywood & Vine in the late 40's. So the Tower and all the bldgs on the right are paintbrushed in and the pavement is from the base. Then I added the Beach Boys and the pretty lady and her pooch. Cool, how they are looking at her and the expressions on the faces. Added some fake shadows, the Capitol top bar and logo.
