Probably the most convincing April Fools joke I've seen this year. The only thing that hurts it was "70s version"- the phrasing just seemed too off there.

Actually you've (consciously or not) part-corrected the typo - it said "70's version", which is just wrong.

It is FatherOfTheMan-ese for: 'I just made this up because I had nothing better to do and my hangover is killing me'.

The real giveaway that it's fake is the fact that Barbara Ann isn't on the tracklist at all, not anywhere, zip.

As if…

You haven't read your old testament recently, have you?

Good remark, mr Newcombe sir. Herewith I provide proof positive of some real, um, rarites described in the Old Testament:

Quote
The first mention of music after the deluge is the narrative in Genesis where Laban asks Jacob:

Genesis 31:27, "Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp?"

This shows that music played an important part in the festivities of the home. It also seems to show that music was preserved by Noah and his family during the flood. No doubt instruments of music were taken on board the ark, and Noah and his family were able to cheer themselves during their year's sojourn in that monstrous boat. These instruments in the hand of Laban show that the musical instruments had found their way into the upland country of Syria.

I haven't read any fairy tales lately, no.

Hey, keep your evolution nonsense to yourself. Next you'll be telling us the earth is round, monkey boy!

And the, um, 'adult contemporary' counterpart: Laid In California.

There is MIC news today but not the kind we hoped for.

Yet, seems like a golden marrketing opportunity for the band.

... and the inclusion of "Free Fall" as a track title. Anyone who knows their BB/related stuff would pick up that reference right away.

Welcome back! Ok, I know my Beach Boys history pretty well, but not this. Would you care to enlighten me? Thanks!

Haha alright! I was waiting for someone to pick that one out! This was a big April Fools joke with some badly written stuff HAHA, I am surprised at how believable it  may have seemed though haha... says something about the quality of some of these post C50 ads!
