Title: Jacco Gardner - Cabinet of Curiosities (CD)
Post by: Jaco on February 19, 2013, 05:25:30 AM
For the love of music I'm plugging a new recording of Jacco Gardner.
His music style? Late 60s baroque pop psychedelia with infuences from Pink Floyd (early era Syd Barrett!), Moody Blues, Brian Wilson, Curt Boettcher etc

Quote
Jacco Gardner is a baroque pop multi instrumentalist. He creates a unique sound by combining the sounds of harpsichord, strings, flutes and other classical instruments with raw psychedelic effects.

Check it out for his USA concert tour in march:

Here's a playlist, from the Excelsior Recordings label:

Pitchfork say this:

"Overlong albums are one thing, but overlong and sonically derivative albums are usually near unlistenable."

I saw him on De Wereld Draait Door (popular Dutch TV show) a few weeks ago and I was pretty impressed. He's got a very cool sound.
