More for the media section sure but this videojpp poster sure seems to get some good footage.

London 1966 Part 1 which hints at more to come. What was the deal with the film done of that tour? Was it ever released other than the odd clip I have seen over the years?

edit. Part 2

Those arrival/backstage/concert clips remind me of the film 'Don't Look Back' by DA Pennebaker

It's a shame a film like that wasn't done for the Beach Boys.

Good find!

It makes me dream of a documentary that chronicled the BB's tour of Japan/America in early '66 interspersed with footage of Brian recording the backing tracks for Pet Sounds, culminating in the vocal recording sessions. Maybe it exists somewhere in an alternate universe.

wow that is a fine performance of Wake The World!

Especially when you consider it wasn't written or recorded for another 18 months or so !  ;D

I thought WTW was written before 1970-71; not so?  ( videos, clearly state the audio id from 1969)

Why was Carl playing bass on GV?

Cool videos!!

The video may state the audio is from 1969, but the original poster says that the footage is from 1966.  "Wake the World," being on Friends in 1968, was obviously written well before 70-71.  I assume that the "18 months" meant 18 months after 1966.

Evidently I'm expecting too much of my audience in certain areas.  ;D

That's always fun footage to see, I could actually do without the added audio and just watch it silent!

The shots of them being driven around in that jeep remind me a lot of the great "Monkees On Tour" episode of the TV show, where they're padding around Paris and the camera follows them and some girls much the same way.

So we have all this, but not a single still photo of a Wouldn't It Be Nice studio session... :)

What's up with Mike Love wearing that bavarian style outfit and goofy pipe, in London?
