Title: World Street Music
Post by: joe_blow on January 30, 2013, 10:38:17 AM
Has anyone here ever travelled abroad and found some buskers/street musicians playing something that really caught your attention (in a good way)?

Once in a while I see some of tehm selling CDS and unfortunately the sounds don't move me enough to validate buying their recordings.

Once in Tokyo I came across a rather interesting sound on the street:

In my hometown of Brighton, Englandshire, when I were a lad, there was a guy who always used to busk when me and my mates were walking about town. One of these dudes who had an amp and pedals (but no backing tracks, crucially), and just played blistering solo electric guitar and looked the spitting image of Jimi Hendrix, so naturally, we called him Hendrix. Dude must have soundtracked every weekend, bunked lesson and date that I experienced when I was 16. |Friendly bloke too, and he just seemed to be having the time of his live busking. He was everywhere, until he wasn't.

Hope someone gave him shittonnes of money and he's playing that guitar on a yacht someplace...
