Some sad news today, Dave Brubeck has died aged 91. Will spin Time Out tonight in his honour.

Dave lived a long and full life. A one of a kind talent.

I've been bummed out and in tears all night about it.

One of the few people I would have wanted to catch in concert and hadn't.    :(  Requiescat in pace.

Dave missed his 92nd birthday by one day.... but on the plus side he passed away exactly 221 years after Mozart went upstairs.  So you just know old Wolfgang worked up a boss arrangement of Blue Rondo a la Turk to play at the birthday bash.
