Just curious...but has anyone actually seen physical copies of the new remasters in any actual stores??  I'm in Milwaukee...and I'll admit I haven't had much chance to really look around (two small children!)...but I've made an effort to look for them whenever I'm somewhere compact discs are sold and I've not seen a single copy.  I'll admit that I buy 98% of my music digitally these days...but something like this is a case where I'd want the physical recording in hand.  I'd prefer not to order from Amazon...as I'd rather support a local business...but so far...that has been fruitless.  I'll eventually just give in and order them online.

I have seen them at book stores like Barnes and Noble.

Me too, it was very cool to see Surf's Up on the front row of the "B" section a few weeks ago when I browsing around.

Picked up Little Deuce Coupe from a HMV here in England.

Disc Exchange in Knoxville, TN had all of them last time I was in there a few weeks ago.

Was in an HMV (Huddersfield) aboiut three weeks ago and they had the lot!  Nearly passed out…

A lot of local shops can order them for you nowadays, just go in and ask.

It's been a few weeks now, but my Barnes & Noble had a nice wall display with all 12 CDs. I was quite surprised.

How long will it be before they hit the bargain bins?

Last time I was there, The House Of Records here in Eugene had a few.

I saw a lot of them in most Best Buy's around me. One BB I went to even had, like, 4 copies of Summer Days (and Nights!). Plus it had Sunflower, Surf's Up and several other of their less-popular albums.

Looks like whomever shipped these albums to the Best Buys in my area goofed, and sent all of them to the Alpharetta location, because there were an assload of those albums there.  No other Best Buy store had bothered to carry them. Also found a couple of the remasters at Criminal Records in Little Five Points (hipster capitol of the world), although you'll be spending a few dollars more for them.

It sounds like I need to look around a little more!  The local Best Buy did not have a single one.  I was in the local Barnes & Noble about a week ago...but I couldn't drag the little guy past the "toy area" without him throwing a fit...so I never got to the back of the store...which is where the music area is.  I'll try and make an effort to hunt around a little bit this weekend.  The Milwaukee area really suffers from a lack of good, independent record shops.  The Exclusive Company is the last real independent left.  I used to just about live there in the 1990s when I was a teenager...but like many Americans...I've gotten "lazy" as music has become so easy to obtain digitally.  Thinking about it now...there is something lost when you think about how it used to be...rushing out to the record shop as soon as it opened when a new record was released (or cutting class!).  Now...too often I just roll out of bed...open the laptop and load up Amazon. 

I was at a good ol' record album show (I used to go to these religiously in the late 80's) a couple weeks ago and one of the dealers had most of the remasters, but he had marked them up WAY too high.  I thought Costco might have them, but so far, no. 

When The Beatles remasters came out in 2009, they had all of them at Target.  I couldn't find any BB at Target except the new 1 disc Greatest Hits and TWGMTR.

You just need to keep searching if you want to find them in person.  But Amazon (or other online) is how I buy CDs now.

In fact , i was down in York 3 weeks ago and even seen them all there , in the HMV.

What's a record shop?  I thought they went extinct? ;D  I have plenty of places I can go to if I want to (I'm in the Chicago area), but it's not worth the hassle of driving around.  I'm fine ordering them online now. 

The local independent chain had them for $14.99 a pop.  Amazon has them for $9.99. 

Zia Records in Arizona had them ALL and priced at $9.99 (while Amazon had them priced higher).

was nice to walk into barnes and noble and best buy and see nice long stacks of the remasters.  I think only one best buy in town had em though.

My local Barnes and Noble was selling a lot of the remasters for 18.99.

I didn't buy any of them.

Barnes and Noble has never been know for being priced very well!  $18.99 a pop.  Wow!  I'm not sure why they continue to sell music.  Their pricing is generally way off of the mark...especially considering one can simply order on Amazon for far less. 

The FYE in out-of-the-way Plattsburgh, NY had Smiley Smile and Surf's Up about a month ago. Best Buy and Target in had nothing. The one independent record store in that town that used to carry the entire BBs discography (where I got most of my 2-fers from back when I was first getting into the BBs) unfortunately closed back in '06.

I can never make heads or tails out of anything at Barnes and Noble, pricing is weird and things are usually poorly displayed and organized. The CDs are high end price wise now, but in 6 months they'll put them on sale for $4.99. And somehow they wonder why they're failing...

My Local HMV in Ipswich - UK has them all, not just that but the new "Smiley Smile" was one of the featured albums and had a prominent section on a wall rack.
