Title: Cookin' with Carnie Post by: Doo Dah on November 22, 2012, 06:58:42 PM Last night I was channel surfing when I came upon an episode on the Living Well Network - an appearance by Carnie Wilson on their "My Family Recipe Rocks" series.
Carnie was cookin' up a storm with Praline Caramel Bread Pudding and Hungarian Pork Chops. No cost was spared, nor a stick of butter! Some mighty tasty edibles for sure. You can check out all four segments: http://livewellnetwork.com/My-Family-Recipe-Rocks/episodes/Rockin-Recipes-From-Carnie-Wilson/8880944 (http://livewellnetwork.com/My-Family-Recipe-Rocks/episodes/Rockin-Recipes-From-Carnie-Wilson/8880944) Title: Re: Cookin' with Carnie Post by: SMiLE Brian on November 22, 2012, 07:09:19 PM Yum ;D, I wonder how many steak recipes she learned from Brian?

Joey: ...so you PINCH and ROLL... Carnie: yeah, kinda like rollin' a joint! ;D I love Carnie. I know she seems kind of overexposed sometimes on these reality programs, but you can tell she's probably a blast to hang out with. Title: Re: Cookin' with Carnie Post by: southbay on November 23, 2012, 08:03:23 AM met Carnie at the Hollywood Bowl show this summer. She was extremely friendly and took several minutes to talk (as did Matt Jardine).

Title: Re: Cookin' with Carnie Post by: KittyKat on November 23, 2012, 02:06:34 PM Even reading the recipe titles feels like you've gained a couple of pounds. Hasn't she had gastric bypass surgery twice? I thought rich food made people sick once they've had that surgery.
Title: Re: Cookin' with Carnie Post by: Doo Dah on November 23, 2012, 02:34:00 PM Agreed! She did mention that she enjoys cooking it as opposed to wolfin' it all down. Likes to see people enjoy themselves.
What I was thinking was how the heck does her husband remain skinny? Imagine having a regular diet of Hungarian Pork Chops or her recipe for Mac n Cheese? Moderation my son, moderation... I thought rich food made people sick once they've had that surgery. well, the fact that she's had gastric bypass surgery and gained the weight back both times certainly says something. She is a lot like Brian for sure, just to a lesser degree. A little eccentric, undisciplined, funny, and liable to say whatever she thinks. ETA-- Just watched it. Her husband doesn't seem too thrilled by the whole thing, but Carnie and Joey appear to be having a blast. But the decadence of that dessert...woah.
