Title: Sandbox Stami Post by: halblaineisgood on October 16, 2012, 09:22:13 PM - I hereby declare this thread the future home of all Stamos related discussions on smileysmile.net !
Title: Re: Sandbox Stami Post by: halblaineisgood on October 16, 2012, 09:25:10 PM I've heard that John Stamos is really good friends with Don Rickles. It would be neat if Rickles made fun of him in his act. I bet Rickles could really exploit the wannabe musicianship for a laugh.
Title: Re: Sandbox Stami Post by: Dunderhead on October 16, 2012, 09:26:27 PM Stamos doesn't seem all that bad honestly. Sure there's something faintly ridiculous about this washed up 90s sitcom star ingratiating himself so deeply with a 1960s classic rock band, but who can blame him? Stamos comes off as a genuine Beach Boys fan, and playing with Mike and Bruce is probably just a little perk for him that he managed to earn with his success. He comes off as being a pretty good humored guy, and I don't think he really has any ego about the whole thing.
Title: Re: Sandbox Stami Post by: Jason on October 16, 2012, 09:36:39 PM If he played in Brian's band he'd be praised to the hills and beyond. We'd all be Full House fans.
Title: Re: Sandbox Stami Post by: halblaineisgood on October 16, 2012, 09:53:44 PM His annoying stage mannerisms would suddenly become endearing? "Aww, look how much he loves Brian. I feel so safe"
Title: Re: Sandbox Stami Post by: MBE on October 16, 2012, 10:05:40 PM As someone who likes The Beach Boys as a group best, I still think Stamos is sad. I thought that in 1988 though so it's not his age or anything. Full House was just the worst to me even as a kid and he always seemed like he was trying way too hard to be cool. He could be Brian's best friend for all I care, and in fact Brian actually defended him to Haward Stern in a 1988 interview.
Title: Re: Sandbox Stami Post by: Alex on October 19, 2012, 11:34:47 AM I don't think I could buy Stamos in anything more than a fairly stock soap opera or sitcom role, but he was pretty tolerable, and even funny at times in the Bob Saget roast.
Title: Re: Sandbox Stami Post by: Letsgoawayforawhile on October 20, 2012, 01:55:24 PM Is it bad that I've bought Full House: Season 1 before?

Not really. I HATED Full House (although as much for Dave Coulier as much as Stamos). Title: Re: The Stami thread of conspicuously looking empty Post by: rogerlancelot on February 26, 2013, 02:09:36 PM Honestly, if ghost/nobody/so cold i go burr/etc. had a blog updated on a daily basis I would make it my homepage. Any clues as to what he's up to these days? I found this website during a search:
http://mikelovesanus.webs.com/ (http://mikelovesanus.webs.com/) Seems like his style kind of. But if it is him it's certainly not his best work. And, Hal, what's going on there, friend? |
