Title: Today Remaster Post by: grooveblaster on October 11, 2012, 04:38:16 AM Ok, on Today are the stereo mixes of When I Grow Up; Dance, Dance, Dance; Please Let Me Wonder; I'm So Young; Kiss Me Baby and She Knows Me the same mixes as those previously available on the US Singles Collection, Hawthorne, Warmth of the Sun and Summer Love Songs?

But Dance Dance Dance is a new mix. Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: FatherOfTheMan Sr101 on October 11, 2012, 07:13:35 AM Yes, BUT they are less brickwalled.
Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: Shane on October 11, 2012, 10:05:12 AM Glad to hear the re-did Dance, Dance, Dance. I was so excited when the remix came out, but it turned out to be so incredibly shrill to my ears.

Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: runnersdialzero on October 11, 2012, 09:14:35 PM I swear to fuckin' Jeeves that "She Knows Me Too Well" is a new mix. The vocal has the "I can't believe it's artificially doubled" doubling on it ala the more recent mix of "You Still Believe In Me", where as the singles box set only has a single-tracked vocal for the majority of it.
Amirite? Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: EgoHanger1966 on October 11, 2012, 09:21:27 PM I swear to f***in' Jeeves that "She Knows Me Too Well" is a new mix. Amirite? I think so too. Maybe not a new mix, but the artificially doubled vocal effect added onto the previous Singles Collection mix? Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: 37!ws on October 11, 2012, 09:22:03 PM Yeah, it definitely sounds double-tracked. Wondering if they just took the single track and doubled it and de-synched or de-tuned it slightly...
BTW...the mono mix on that CD sounds AWESOME. Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: grooveblaster on October 12, 2012, 04:44:56 AM Yeah, it definitely sounds double-tracked. Some of the other remixes also sound different than the previously released ones, though I admit I may be tricked by them being less brickwalled. And yes the mono mixes are incredible! Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: harrisonjon on December 20, 2012, 07:12:28 AM Is artificial double tracking of an old vocal a good idea? Does it work?
Title: Re: Today Remaster Post by: Letsgoawayforawhile on December 20, 2012, 07:30:47 AM The new In The Back Of My Mind is incredible.
