Title: A Beach Boys mystery for CD collectors
Post by: beachboys_fr on October 11, 2012, 04:35:10 AM
In 1988, a cassette has been released under the title “Live Performance Classics By The Beach Boys - Concert Days". This item is quite easy to find on the Internet. It seems that in 1995 a CD with the same title has been released too. At least, an UPC actually exists for this CD: 077775676129. Did someone hear something about it? Best, did someone have it at home?

Looks like it's a mix of "Live in London" and "Concert"

It was a cheap knock-off from Capitol-EMI "Special Markets". Live versions of:

Darlin'
Good Vibrations
Sloop John B
Do It Again
Wanderer
Little Old Lady From Pasadena
Hawaii
Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow
Johnny B. Goode

Also at that time, Capitol EMI released "Greatest Car Songs by The Beach Boys" on CD.

When I was a kid, I could only afford a lot of those budget cassettes and cds.  In fact, when I was 11, I got my first CD, and it was this:

Fond memories.
