On DAB BBC R2 is transmitted at 128 kbits/sec which is very low (although acceptable). If you can record from Freeview thats at 192 kbits/sec which is much better. The iPlayer transmits at 128 kbits/sec but in AAC I believe, so better than DAB. Does anybody know what rates Virgin, Sky etc broadcast at? So best option is FM (assuming good signal) with Freeview as a backup - thats what I'll be doing anyway. I see R2 are also rebroadcasting the 60min version of Record Producers next week and 6Music the 70's Beach Boys Story 6 part series. As Tuffers says, Happy Days.
