Ok, once again I have to ask:
Would somebody please record this stuff?! I'd love to hear the concert and interviews but won't be able to do so when it airs

The Beach Boys and Ellington.  Bliss.  Pity about Claire Teal's insipid voice though...

It should be on iPlayer afterwards, right? Or can't you access it?

Harry Shearer should present the show in his Burns and Smithers voices.

But the sound is already compressed unless listening on FM isn't it?
On DAB BBC R2 is transmitted at 128 kbits/sec which is very low (although acceptable). If you can record from Freeview thats at 192 kbits/sec which is much better.
The iPlayer transmits at 128 kbits/sec but in AAC I believe, so better than DAB.
Does anybody know what rates Virgin, Sky etc broadcast at?

So best option is FM (assuming good signal) with Freeview as a backup - thats what I'll be doing anyway.

I see R2 are also rebroadcasting the 60min version of Record Producers next week and 6Music the 70's Beach Boys Story 6 part series.

As Tuffers says, Happy Days.

Regards

Jon

Well, the last time something like this happened I couldn't listen to it because of me living in Germany

Ah, I couldn't remember whether you lived somewhere un-iplayerable.

Looks like someone's recording it, so it's good in the hood  ;D
