Essential being rarest material, best versions, or things that every collector should be lucky to have.

I know everything by the boys is essential but stuff like endless harmony or hawthorne etc. What do people consider the best of rare material?

That is an era (1980-1984) that seems to get forgotten easily and I am curious to see how this era is represented on the upcoming 6 cd box set... If you're trying to introduce someone to the 1970s stuff, the "10 Years of Harmony" double LP set is an awesome overview.
