Although it's very much an exercise in getting the hang of recording/performing/etc after nearly a month away from music. Which is why it's all a bit... much :lol

People aren't writing pop songs like this anymore. A real mid-60s Wrecking Crew "feel". It reminds me so much of Gary Lewis' "Jill" and "Girls In Love" in feel, as well. I know it's rough and everything but I think it's really cool - it has layers of things going on that warrant a second and third listen. I'd love to hear further mixes or rerecords etc on this one!

I really like it ! The songwritting is genius, it reminds me of Burt Bacharrach ... And Brian of course (but more Bacharrach I think). Too bad there are a few uncertain drum fills and harmonies. But your arrangements are killers ! Especially the strings.
