Title: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Shady on July 31, 2012, 05:59:01 PM They seem to be having a fun time in Europe ;D
Al's little Rolling Stones story is cool http://www.vg.no/musikk/artikkel.php?artid=10067312 (http://www.vg.no/musikk/artikkel.php?artid=10067312) Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: SIP.FLAC on July 31, 2012, 07:22:23 PM Some Cottenfields tension . .
Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: the professor on July 31, 2012, 07:22:50 PM Cute but silly questions; I wish someone would ask them when the next album is coming out!
thanks Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Zach95 on July 31, 2012, 07:24:20 PM Poor Brian, he's been asked the question about how it is being on tour with the Beach Boys so many times, now he's just saying "I think its obvious" :lol
and..."Al's crusty" Really though, Brian seemed very relaxed and in good spirits, I love seeing him like that. I love these guys. Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: EgoHanger1966 on July 31, 2012, 07:49:40 PM Cute interview. Some cool Brian quotes.
"Michael can spin like he's 40". :lol "Of course we're gonna do Cottonfields". Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Justin on July 31, 2012, 08:54:07 PM Amusing little interview. I like how the band sort of helped the interviewer along even though she spoke very limited English. I love their motto: "Meditation and pizza." :lol
Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: rn57 on July 31, 2012, 08:56:08 PM How Bruce kept from making a crack about the pizza in Norway, I'll never know....
Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Zach95 on July 31, 2012, 09:46:24 PM Bruce was jovial in this interview! He looked genuinely happy!
Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Rocker on August 01, 2012, 09:44:49 AM Kudos to the interviewer for asking if they could sing something on the spot !! Unfortunately GV wasn't the best choice and no one had the guts to bring it through except Al (and is that Bruce who at one point harmonizes with him?). Surfer Girl or In My Room would probably have been better choices. More reporters should ask for that
Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Lowbacca on August 01, 2012, 10:22:41 AM A bit awkward, but interesting nonetheless. And Brian is still clearly in charge, to a certain extent: "Of course we're gonna do 'Cotton Fields'." :)
Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: onkster on August 01, 2012, 10:59:55 AM How Bruce kept from making a crack about the pizza in Norway, I'll never know.... You may already know this joke: What did the Norwegian say when he saw his first pizza? "Uffda! Someone threw up on my lefsa!" It's OK, I'm from Norwegian descent, so I can say that. Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Aegir on August 01, 2012, 11:49:12 AM Some Cottenfields tension . . It's funny how the interview ends cold at that point. I bet it escalated too far and then had to cut it from the released video. Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: Phoenix on August 01, 2012, 11:54:26 AM Really though, Brian seemed very relaxed and in good spirits, I love seeing him like that. I love these guys. People have been saying it for a while now, "Everytime the interview is done by a cute, yound girl..." ;D Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: pixletwin on August 01, 2012, 12:28:40 PM Bruce was jovial in this interview! He looked genuinely happy! He must have kicked some socialist ass that morning. ;D Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: HeyJude on August 01, 2012, 04:29:18 PM I don't know if it's a lighting thing or a makeup thing or just the smaller web browser video frame, but Al all of a sudden looks 10 or 20 years younger in this interview.
Not too bad overall for a BB interview. We all know how awkward they can get, so this one was actually okay. Sadly, these were not quite the most boring, vapid questions that could have been asked. :lol Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: ohthosegirls on August 01, 2012, 05:17:18 PM I don't know if it's a lighting thing or a makeup thing or just the smaller web browser video frame, but Al all of a sudden looks 10 or 20 years younger in this interview. Must be his 1993 shirt...! Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: tansen on August 01, 2012, 10:46:29 PM As a Norwegian I am embarrassed by the reporter's lack of English speaking skills. There's an interview on NRK, our national TV-station, that's even worse (particularly in form and accent), and it just makes me cringe. FFS, send out/hire someone that actually knows how to speak English!
On a different note, I actually prefer the 'Norwegian pizza' over any other pizza ;) Title: Re: Full band interview - Norway Post by: gsmile on August 02, 2012, 01:05:50 AM Just lovin' the group vibe goin' on in this clip. They truly do seem young at heart, don't they? It's all about Al right now, eh? He's just keepin' those good vibrations happenin' with the band. Brian was hysterical in this clip. He really is proud of "Good Vibrations", isn't he? And why not, it is one of their masterpieces. Love that he says "masterpieces", plural. Is the competition coming back? "Of courrrrrse we're playing Cottonfields!". Man knows what he wants.
