Talking out of their arse, in this instance. Title: Re: I Know You've Watched It A Million Times Post by: 18thofMay on July 16, 2012, 10:32:51 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VvphtW04Mw

Title: Re: I Know You've Watched It A Million Times Post by: Newguy562 on July 16, 2012, 11:26:12 PM I like all the roles, except for Dennis (imo the worst character from the whole cast) & Al on this film. Though Al in another one is bad too imo. Seems like it's difficult to find an actor with more or less similar to Al appearance. yes he has a very gremlin look to him..i'm sure if they aren't related to him there won't be another al looking character lol..That said, I'd rather prefer Summer Dreams than An American Family. Though the latter has some good moments as well, f.ex. Dennis's playing and singing at the piano talking to his father and him listening to what Denny composed, i.e. Forever. One of the few finest episodes of that movie. But after all, I still wait for the better BBs-oriented film. my favorite thing about this movie is they have the years all f***ed up lol...like when they watch the monterey pop festival brian is the only one with a big ass beard and i dont think any of them have beard around that time do they? he sits in the corner and listen to sgt. pepper all day...wtf? lol and then dennis said what if they performed their oldies and it was only a few years from surfin safarie so how the f*** are they oldies? lol Title: Re: I Know You've Watched It A Million Times Post by: Newguy562 on July 16, 2012, 11:55:10 PM I like all the roles, except for Dennis (imo the worst character from the whole cast) & Al on this film. Like the scene of the group performing with a drunk Dennis just banging away, not paying attention to the song, and then the part where he tries to basically make a drug deal on stage through the microphone. I'm pretty sure all of that actually happened. Then there's the "cocaine sessions" scene. I think that some of the actors were much better too. I think the guy who played Brian in Summer Dreams puts the one in An American Family to shame. The 1964-ish hair style is fairly accurate. His Pet Sounds era hair style and bushy side burns are perfect. He nails the 1983-85 looking Brian. The guy has to much of a New Jersey/New York "tough guy" accent though. ;D

The newer film blows this crap away just on casting alone.
