In my opinion, they are flavorless. As for SMiLE, I can't give it 5 stars because it feels incomplete to me. Let's Go Away For Awhile is one of the most layered and complex Beach Boys songs I've ever heard. Strings, Horns, woodwinds, acoustic guitars, bass, the drums, electric guitar - it's everything but flavorless. ____ Edit: And definitely pick up the box set for SMiLE. And if you don't have the box set for Pet Sounds get that too.
