We know that Mike has coordinated his wardrobe based around astrological coordinates for years, but has anyone else noticed that he has worn the exact same shirt and cap combo every Sunday on this tour? Raleigh, Las Vegas, Irvine, Bonaroo. Makes no difference.

what, you mean mine?  No kidding.  I guess I noticed because I went to two Sunday night concerts in a row, then saw the Bonaroo thing the next Sunday night plastered all over the place.  Just got to thinking I had seen that combo before...

LOL. I had considered writing: "The first step is recognizing our problem."

Is he trying to make a fashion statement? I was wondering why he was wearing that shirt and cap in different concerts.

Secretly I want them to have a room full of shirts under glass on display ala Batman when they suit up, with their old costumes in the background of course.

Mike said somewhere that he has color scheme suggestions posted in the dressing rooms. Seems like day of the week played into it somehow. Why the hell do I know this...?!!

Nice catch southbay I definitely recognized the shirt/hat combo but never put it together that it was on every Sunday--haha that's weird! 

Maybe Mike likes the connection of yellow like the color of the sun...thus wearing it on Sunday?  (Justin shrugs shoulders)

If you google around to various goofy astrological color/day of the week systems, it seems like basically any color on any day is lucky under SOME system or another. Maybe that's why he plays it safe by wearing shirts that contain every known color in the universe.

Sunday = yellow seems to crop up a lot.

I hate that shirt, ty God for making my concert on a date which is not a sunday.

Brian's batcave would be amazing with the hipster clothing of SMiLE, crazy era clothing of bathrobes and tracksuits, and the modern clothing.

I wonder what kinda bathrobes Brian digs now.

One time when I was about 14 I decided that I would pick out a specific t-shirt to wear for each day of the week, so I wouldn't have to think about what to wear. I had about 20 t-shirts, though, and when my mom found out what I was doing (two or three days in) she yelled at me.

and I gotta say, most of Mike's outfits on this tour are better than his Sunday outfit.

That explains it!

Okay. I'll have to check out what he's wearing next Wednesday, since he wore electric lime green pants at the Cleveland show.

That was a very unique interview!

That was an excellent, unusually casual interview with Mike.  He starts off really showman like, but then things get really cool when he talks about his rings.  Mike was a gentleman and really clicked with the interviewer.  Mike has a great sense of humor and that's really showcased here.  You can really get a sense of how Brian gets along with Mike in these moments, the humor bringing them together.  I really enjoyed that, thanks for posting.

As a journalist, I wanted to comment on this because it bothers me. Most newspapers no longer have photographers. The writer is expected to snap pictures. Chances are, the Poughkeepsie Journal is run by only a couple people, if that. The everyday person doesn't realize this, though, so they make hateful comments regarding the talents of people that are quite honestly being worked to the bone in an ever-dwindling industry. Just be THANKFUL you don't work for a newspaper!
