It can make you extremely happy or tear up..(moments that are so beautiful or touches you in a certain way...takes you to a far away place in your mind...What are your top 7 song moments that connects with you on a whole different level? In We Five's version of "Beyond the Sea", when Beverly hits that long note in the second "lead me there sooooon". Which is double-tracked for maximum power--but it only works in the mono version. The entire chunk with Richard solo on the Farfisa organ ("Storm Signal" and the first half of "Celestial Voices") has reigned as my absolute favorite few minutes of music ever since grade school. I've spent literal YEARS trying to mimic the sound of that section on a keyboard. |
